Cable USA has long been a leader in the high temperature industrial wire and cable markets. This market ranges from our 538°C FG2000 to our 200°C Soaking Pit cables, and from our 200°C Tray cables to our 450°C Thermocouple cables. Cable USA's high temperature industrial products are found in many global markets including steel mills, petrochemical plants, refineries, mining, glass mills, and many others.

Soaking Pit Cables

Originally designed for use in harsh and extreme steel mill environments, these high temperature multi-conductor cables are ideal for slag cars, ladle cars, cranes, soaking pits, and glass plants. Our soaking pit cables are engineered to provide unusually long service life under high heat (200°C) and flexing applications, and are designed to withstand the abuse of molten splash. The flexing capabilities range from reeling and unreeling of equipment to continuous flexing applications, including heavy-duty festoon applications.  It's the cable preferred by major steel companies.

Tray Cables

Cable USA manufactures a product line of high temperature tray cables ranging in temperature from 150°C to 260°C that are suited for harsh industrial environments. These cables offer high temperature protection, low flammability, chemical and sunlight resistance, and excellent resistance to cut through, crush and abrasion.

  General purposes include:
- SRK -- Silicone rubber insulation, with an overall K fiber braid. 200°C 600V, UL & CSA.
- SRGK -- Silicone rubber and glass braid, with an overall Kevlar fiber braid. 200°C 600V, UL & CSA.
- MicaPlus -- 27% nickel-clad copper, glass reinforced mica tape insulation, with a coated glass braid and heat resistant finisher. 650°C 600V, non-UL.
- 600V version of TGGT 250°C, MG 450°C, SRML 150/200°C, SDT-250, SDF-200, and SDT-200.

Thermoplastic

- SDT-250 -- Construction: PFA extruded dielectric. 250°C 600V, UL & CSA.
- SDF-200 -- Construction: ETFE extruded dielectric. 200°C 600V, UL & CSA.
- SDT-200 -- Construction: FEP extruded dielectric. 200°C 600V, UL & CSA.

The No-Glass Solution - SDT-250

- Contains no glass.
- Insulation is 100% PFA so there is no risk of releasing glass fibers during stripping or in use.
- Ideal for food processing and ultra clean operations.
- Easy handling -- smallest diameter of the standard high temperature wires.
- UL and CSA listing of 600V or 300V, 250°C.

Anti-Itch Anti-Fray - SDGT

- Locked-in glass.
- Glass-fiber coated with PTFE fluoropolymer resin is applied over a fused tape of PTFE.
- Cable USA's proprietary process practically eliminates fraying and the release of itchy glass fibers during handling.
- Easy handling -- a 10% smaller diameter than the standard high temperature wire.
- UL and CSA listing of 600V or 300V, 250°C.

The 450°C Solution - MGR

- Dielectric material augmented with an overall braid using Cable USA's proprietary process that practically
eliminates fraying and the release of itchy fibers during handling.
- Additional protection against the release of fibers is accomplished by coating the braid with PTFE.
- Chemical and oil resistant.
- UL and CSA listing of 600V or 300V, 450°C, factory rated to 538°C.
